My name is Steve and I created this blog as a way to chronicle my journeys since accepting a position in Atyrau, Kazakhstan in November 2006. I took the job primarily for the increase in salary it provided. I thought the blog would be a good way to let anyone who cared know what I have been up to and get information to others who might be interested in going to some of the same places or doing the same thing. A rather large problem is that I started the job almost two years ago and am only starting the blog now! Suspende your disbelief and as I detail the last few years travels and any other trouble I get into from now on.
